The air was thick with inspiration and pride as LaSalle College Jakarta celebrated its 2026 Graduation Ceremony on May 11th, 2026. Hosted in the prestigious Ballroom of the Hotel Grand Sahid Jakarta, the event served as a spectacular finale for a talented cohort of 109 graduates from both the Bachelor, International Diploma, dan Certificate programs.
This milestone event recognized the next generation of creative leaders who are now prepared to transition from the classroom to the global stage. Under the specialized LCI Education curriculum, students are empowered to grow and pursue creative innovation, supported by lecturers who provide essential international and industry standard expertise. The Class of 2026 reached impressive heights of achievement, with several students receiving top honors for their dedication to their craft.
Leading the accomplice with the highest academic marks, Madeline Gabriella and Samantha Keira Sahuri both graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Fashion Merchandising program. In the design faculties, Sebastian Abraham Maximillian (Interior Design) and Clarabella Candy (Fashion Design) were awarded Cum Laude honors for their consistent excellence.
Following her top academic honors, Madeline Gabriella was named Best Student of the Fashion Merchandising department. During her commencement speech, Madeline reflected on her three-year journey, emphasizing that her time at LaSalle was defined by more than just grades. "I learned that college isn't just about academics or scores, but also about the process of developing, learning to collaborate, and growing into a better person," Madeline shared.
Her speech highlighted the diverse, firsthand experiences provided by the program, including:
- Creative Fundamentals: Learning the intricacies of product design.
- Business Operations: Mastering the processes of sales and stock management.
- Industry Integration: Gaining invaluable real-world experience through the Brightspot 2024 project.
Madeline expressed deep gratitude for her parents and sisters as well as the faculty and mentors who guided her. She also acknowledged that her success was a collective effort, thanking her peers and teammates for their role in her journey.
The ceremony also highlighted students who excelled in technical skill, portfolio development, and peer leadership across all creative departments:
- Fashion Design: Clarabella Candy was named Best Student, while Royce Caleb Makmur took home the "Best Collection" award. Carron Angel was recognized as the department's Favorite Student.
- Fashion Merchandising: Following her top academic honors, Madeline Gabriella was named Best Student. The "LUSA" project by Madeline, Samantha Keira Sahuri, and Yosi won Best Portfolio, with Samantha also being voted Favorite Student.
- Graphic Design & Game Art: Velynn Santoso Salim earned the Best Student title, while Yoel Martin Wongsosutheno achieved a double win as both the Favorite Student and the creator of the Best Portfolio.
- Interior Design: Joining his Cum Laude distinction, Sebastian Abraham Maximillian was named Best Student. Brandon Fortino Cahyadi received the Best Portfolio award, and Gardenia Sarachandani Arya was celebrated as a Favorite Student.
- Film & Artistic Make Up: Nehemia Berith Olam (Film) and Riska Maharani Firdausa (Make Up) were honored as Best Students in their fields. Best Portfolio honors went to Amanda Fadillah Iswan (Film) and Natasha Widagdo (Make Up), while Luthfiah Dien and Icyicasya were named Favorite Students respectively.
Surrounded by family, friends, and industry mentors, the atmosphere was one of celebration and forward-looking ambition. As these newly minted designers, artists, and business professionals step out into the industry, they carry with them the legacy of LaSalle College Jakarta’s practical education and a global network of creative peers.
