Carving Creativity - Linocut Workshop Sparks Wearable Art in LaSalle College Jakarta Fashion Business Program
The Fashion Business program at LaSalle College Jakarta recently hosted a linocut workshop led by Ms. Shirly Kasmara, where students transformed their designs into bold, handcrafted prints. Through carving linoleum blocks and printing on paper and fabric, they explored creative possibilities for wearable art, showcasing innovation and craftsmanship for future fashion collections.

Our Fashion Business program recently hosted a special linocut workshop, allowing students to bring their pre-prepared designs to life. Guided by expert instructor, Ms. Shirly Kasmara, they meticulously carved intricate patterns into linoleum blocks, transforming these into stunning prints.
This hands-on printmaking technique, which involves inking and pressing the carved block onto paper or fabric, was a masterclass in both creativity and craftsmanship. The bold, handcrafted prints produced during the workshop hold exciting potential for future fashion collections.
We’re thrilled to see how our talented students will reimagine these designs into wearable art, pushing the boundaries of innovation in fashion!
